August 28 – 31, 2022 News Release

Medical Assistance

On August 31, 2022 at about 8:15PM, the Brockville Police Service received information of a female in need of medical assistance at a residence in the center area of the City. Officers responded to the call and were first on scene. These officers assessed and reacted quickly. The decision was made to begin CPR and use the defibrillator on the female. After the initial use, Paramedics arrived shortly after. The defibrillator use and CPR continued at that time and while on route to the Brockville General Hospital. I am happy to report that the actions from these emergency responders saved the life of this female. For the police officers involved, this is not an act they perform regularly so we are all proud of their actions. We are also thankful for the efforts and expertise of the Leeds and Grenville Paramedics, who arrived on scene and ensured success, as well as the staff at the Brockville General Hospital. Thank you for a job well done!
