Causing a Disturbance and Breaching Probation
On August 3, 2022 at about 5:30PM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint about a 26-year-old male on King St. W., being described as out of control. Officers arrived and learned that the male was acting in an aggressive manner and almost caused a fight with an unrelated citizen on the street. Luckily, no physical confrontation occurred. Police arrested the male and took him into custody. Later, once the male was calm, he was released after being charged with causing a disturbance and failing to comply with probation.
Impaired Operation of vehicle and Drug Possession
On August 3, 2022 at about 11:45PM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint of a female at the Days Inn hotel in a vehicle and apparently impaired. Officers attended the area and located the 44-year-old female suspect, now across the road at the Brockville Shopping Centre parking lot. Sobriety testing was completed indicating that the female was impaired by drugs. She was arrested and taken for examination by a Drug Recognition Expert. Further testing was completed and confirmed that she was impaired by drugs. The vehicle was searched after her arrest and officers located a small quantity of cocaine. Once the investigation was complete and it was safe to do so, the female was released after being charged with operation while impaired and possession of cocaine. Her vehicle was towed and driver’s licence suspended.
Warrants and Drugs
On August 4, 2022 at 1:00AM, the Brockville Police Service learned that a 34-year-old female was at The Bar on King St. W. The female was known to have a bench warrant for her arrest for failing to attend court in relation to charges of assault and breach probation. Officers attended and arrested the female. Upon searching her, officers located a quantity of cocaine. She was additionally charged with possession of cocaine and held in custody for a bail hearing.
Drug Possession
On August 4, 2022 at about 10:00PM, an officer from the Brockville Police Service conducted a motor vehicle stop on North Augusta Rd., regarding equipment related violations. During the stop, one of the occupants was identified to be a 23-year-old male, known to be on house arrest conditions of a release order. He was placed under arrest. Two other occupants in the vehicle were identified to be 20 and 21-year-old males. Further investigation revealed that the occupants were in possession of a large quantity of cocaine. The other 2 males were also arrested. The outcome was as follows; the 20-year-old male was charged with possession of cocaine and released with a future court date. The 21-year-old male was charged with possession of cocaine, drive vehicle with cannabis readily available and various traffic related charges. He was also released with a future court date. The 23-year-old male was charged with failing to comply with his release order bail conditions and possession of cocaine. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
