Motor Vehicle Collision results in minor injuries
At approximately 3:20 p.m. yesterday afternoon, Brockville Police responded to a head-on motor vehicle collision with injuries between two pick-up trucks on King Street West in the area of St. Lawrence Park.
Witnesses report seeing a westbound truck swerve into the eastbound lane and into the path of another truck travelling east into the City’s downtown core. Passengers in both vehicles suffered minor injuries were taken to Brockville General Hospital and treated for minor injuries and later released.
The 34 year old male driver of the westbound vehicle is facing charges of careless driving and failure to produce his insurance card.
Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspections
The Brockville Police partnered with the Ministry of Transportation Enforcement division conducting Commercial Motor Vehicle inspections in the city yesterday. Of the 10 vehicles selected for inspection, 6 were placed out of service, 3 had license plates removed. In total 12 Provincial Offence notices were issued for a variety of violations as well as numerous warnings issued.
Property Recovered from Rotary Park
The Brockville Police are trying to reunite the owner of a bag containing several valuable personal items found at the Rotary Park yesterday afternoon with its owner.
The bag contained a cell phone, glasses and case, various cards, and other personal items. If someone was at the park yesterday and lost their bag, please contact the Brockville Police at 613-342-0127 and describe the contents of the bag so police can make arrangements to get the property returned.
