Trespass

August 9, 2021 at 12:12 PM, officers were called to the train station on Perth Street for a male that had removed from an inbound train for not having a ticket.  After the male was removed he attempted to buy a ticket, but while doing so he threatened staff at the station.  The 66-year-old male was arrested by officers for uttering a threat. He was not charged and later released unconditionally.

 

Warrants/assault police

August 10, 2021 at 9:46 AM, members of the Brockville Police Service responded to a domestic dispute at an apartment on Cartier Court.  The dispute did not lead to any charges, but the 26-year-old female involved had a warrant for her arrest for failing to attend court.  She attempted to run from officers, but was apprehended after a short foot chase. The accused was brought to the station and held in custody for a bail hearing.  During her time in the cells, she spat on two officers.  She now is facing additional charges of assaulting police.

 

Stabbing

August 10, 2021 at 9:31 PM, ambulance services contacted the Brockville Police Service requesting assistance with a 45-year-old male that had been stabbed in the abdomen.  The male was located on King Street West by both paramedics and police.  He was transported to Kingston General Hospital for his serious, but not life threatening injuries. The incident had taken place approximately an hour earlier outside of a residence on Millwood Avenue.  The investigation is continuing at this time.  This is an isolated incident between persons known to each other.
