Warrants

A 39 year old male was arrested Sunday afternoon for his outstanding warrants for failing to attend court. He was charged and released with a future court date.

 

Noise Complaint/breach of conditions

Police responded to a noise complaint this morning at 2:00 am at a King St. address. As officers were speaking with the person about the noise they discovered that he was in possession of a crossbow contrary to his court ordered conditions. A 51 year old male was arrested for the offence and released with a future court date.

 

Stolen vehicle

Officers on routine patrol observed a vehicle fail to stop at a red flashing light at 3:00 am this morning. The officers conducted a traffic stop and discovered a 15 year old male had taken his parent’s vehicle out for a joy ride. He was charged with taking a motor vehicle without consent.

March 3 – 4, 2018 Incidents

Stolen Vehicle

On March 3rd, 2018 at approximately 2:00p.m., the Brockville Police Service responded to a complaint of a stolen vehicle from a residence in the South end of the City. Officers responded and through investigation were able to locate the suspects attempting to flee from the vehicle in the North end of the City. The suspect was of the theft was a 23 year old, local female who was placed under arrest. She was charged with theft of a motor vehicle and released with a future court date. Another police agency had warrants for her arrest and she was turned over to them to deal with charges out of that jurisdiction.

Another male involved in the incident was arrested as well. He was involved at the North end scene, at a store’s parking lot, where the stolen vehicle was abandoned. That 38 year old, local male, was arrested for breaching his house arrest bail conditions and possession of approximately one and a half grams of a substance believed to be Crystal Meth. He was charged for the possession of a substance and breaching his bail conditions. He was held for bail.

 

Warrants

On March 3rd, 2018 at approximately 6:00p.m., the Brockville Police Service responded to a complaint of a person apparently breaking into a ground floor apartment at a building in the North end of the City. On police arrival a 31 year old, local female, was located and arrested on outstanding warrants for failing to attend court. She was also charged with breaching bail conditions and held in custody.

 

Disturbance

On the March 4, 2018 at approximately 12:30a.m., the Brockville Police Service attended an establishment in the Center of the City in response to a fight. On police arrival it was determined that a fight had broken out between multiple females at a large function. A 27 year old, local female, was arrested and charged for multiple counts of assault. She was taken into custody and released once sober with a future court appearance.

 

 

 

March 2 – 3, 2018 Incidents

Disturbances

On March 3rd, 2018 at approximately 1:00 A.m., the Brockville Police Service responded to a disturbance at a downtown area local establishment. It was determined that a fight had taken place and two local males, 23 and 32 years of age, were identified as participants in the altercation. They were both fined under the Brockville City By-law for fighting in a public place. There were no serious injuries in this altercation.

It is to be noted that this was one of multiple disturbances of this nature reported last night which all occurred in a very short time span. Luckily, no one reported serious injuries.

 

March 1 – 2, 2018 Incidents

Warrants

A local 35 year old male was located and arrested by the Brockville Police Service for several outstanding criminal charges. Officers recognized the male while on routine patrol at 1:30 am on the 2nd of March.

 

March is Fraud Prevention Month

We would like to remind the public to be cognizant of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) scam. We continue to receive complaints from the public about receiving these calls of attempted fraud. Please do not disclose any information over the phone. The CRA will not contact you by phone.

February 28 – March 1, 2018 Incidents

Bail Violations

At 2:00am a 31 year old male was observed by police entering a licenced liquor establishment on King St. The male was on conditions from a previous criminal charge not to enter any licenced premise. He was arrested for failing to comply with his conditions and held for a bail hearing.

February 27 – 28, 2018 Incidents

Warrants

On Wednesday a 34 year old Brockville resident was located and arrested by the Ottawa Police Service for his arrest warrant out of our jurisdiction. Officers from Brockville took custody from the Ottawa Police and transported him back to town to face a bail hearing.

 

Warrants

A local 28 year old female was arrested by officers at a downtown gym after reports of a disturbance. The female fled the area prior to police arrival, but she was located a short distance away. Her arrest warrant was from the OPP to whom she was turned over to.

 

Warrants

19 year old male surrendered to police this morning at 5:00am as he had discovered that there was a warrant out for his arrest. He was processed at the station and released with a future court date.

 

February 26 – 27, 2018 Incidents

Fraud

A 39 year old Brockville resident was observed by bank employees at a north end location attempting to deposit empty envelopes into a bank machine in order to obtain cash. Police were alerted and the male was arrested and charged with a fraud related offence.

 

Noise Complaint

Shortly before midnight on the 26th of February, officers responding to a noise complaint on King St. West arrested one occupant as the 28 year old female was wanted on fraud charges by the OPP. She was turned over to their custody.

 

February 25 – 26, 2018 Incidents

Break and Enter

Police are investigating a break and enter to Easy Vape located on Buell St. Police responded to an alarm at 4:30 am on the 26th of February 2018. The suspect(s) entered through the front door taking various items. We are asking any witnesses with information to contact our service at (613)342-0127.

 

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Between 7:00-8:00 am the Brockville Police responded to 3 separate motor vehicle collisions.   The most serious collision was a head on collision that occurred on Ormond St.  In that collision occupants were transported to Brockville General Hospital for minor injuries. The investigations are not complete at the time of this report.

February 24 – 25, 2018 Incidents

Assault

During the evening hours on the 23rd of February, 2018 a 27 year old Brockville man entered an address located in the center area of the City without permission.  The man proceeded to assault the resident without provocation, using a knife obtained from the kitchen area.  The man subsequently left the apartment however did threaten a second person who was inside the apartment at the time.  The resident, also a 27 year old man, sustained minor injuries.  The suspect is known to the victim in this matter.

On the 25th of February, 2018 the suspect was located and arrested by police without incident.  The man remains in custody on multiple criminal code offences including Assault with a weapon, being unlawfully in a dwelling and uttering threats.  The man will appear on the 26th of February, 2018 for a bail hearing.

 

February 22 – 23, 2018 Incidents

Shoplifting

A local 55 year old woman was arrested yesterday for a shoplifting incident that occurred earlier in the month. Staff a Giant Tiger recognized her as she returned to the store yesterday and alerted police.
