Mischief Complaint

On March 8th, Brockville Police attended Broad St. billiards in regards to a mischief complaint. A local, 23 year old female became upset when asked to leave the establishment. On her way out, she busted the window in a door. She is faces charges of mischief and breaching her probation.

Intoxicated Male

On March 7th, Brockville Police attended an apartment complex in the south end of the city. The female resident of the apartment wanted a male party removed. Police spoke with the intoxicated, 61 year old male who was refusing to vacate the residence. He was arrested to prevent a further breach of the peace and released later when sober.

Warrant

On March 6th, Brockville Police contacted by Smiths Falls Police. They had arrested a 26 year old male on warrants held by our Service. The male was escorted back to Brockville and remanded into custody until a bail hearing later today.

Mischief

Brockville Police attended one of the bars on King St. in regards to a mischief complaint. A local, 21 year old male, broke a window out of the establishment from outside after being removed as an unwanted person. He was arrested for the mischief and breaching terms of both his probation order and release conditions from outstanding charges. Once back at the station, he became assaultive with Police and had to be restrained. A charge of assaulting a Police officer was laid as well. He will appear in bail court later today.

Traffic Stop

Brockville Police stopped a vehicle in the King St. area while on general patrol. Originally stopped for a traffic violation, the driver lied about his identity. Turns out there was a warrant for his arrest from this Service and his drivers licence was under suspension. The 38 year old male, who frequents Brockville, has an address from the Carp area. He was arrested and charged with personation, breach of release conditions and drive under suspension. Held in custody and will appear in bail court later today.

Intoxicated Male

On March 3, Brockville Police responded to an apartment complex in the south end of the city in regards to a passed out male. Police located a 51 year old male who was intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was arrested for public intoxication and taken into custody. When sober, a fine was issued and he was sent on his way.

Mischief

On March 3, Brockville Police responded to a complaint of mischief at a residence in the center of the city. A female visitor to the residence had the tires flattened on her vehicle and several parts of the car removed making it non-functional. The whole incident stemmed over monies owed to an individual. The investigation has resulted in theft and mischief charges against two local men ages 55 and 41 years. The older male was also charged with breaching an outstanding undertaking. The younger male also had a warrant for his arrest in existence from an OPP detachment.

Theft from Motor Vehicles

On March 3, Brockville Police responded to a complaint of two males going through vehicles in the south end of the city. Police located two males, 13 and 17 years of age. Both parties were charged with trespass by night and released to their parents. The 17 year old was also charged with breaching his probation. No items were reported stolen.

Theft

On March 3, Brockville Police responded to a theft complaint at the YMCA. An off duty officer from our Service witnessed a theft and alerted staff and Police. No charges are being laid and the incident is being handled by the staff at the YMCA. The accused is a 49 year, local male.

Brockville Police responded to the King St. area in regards to a male having difficulties. A local, 62 year old male, was found lying in the snow. He was arrested for public intoxication and taken into custody. A fine was issued when sober and ready for release.

February 27th Incidents

A 27 year old male was arrested for domestic assault in the city’s south end after a verbal dispute turned violent. The incident occurred around 12 p.m. The male had head butted his common-law spouse causing minor injuries. He has been held for a bail hearing today.

In a second domestic incident in the city’s north end around 3 p.m. another male 31 years of age was also arrested for domestic assault. He has been held for a bail hearing today.

Shortly after midnight Brockville Police attended a gas station at Stewart Blvd and Parkedale Ave. in regards to a theft of gas. The vehicle used in the theft happened to have been stolen out of the Toronto area. The vehicle left the city in an east bound direction on the 401. The OPP were notified, but have not been able to stop the suspect.

Police also responded to 5 motor vehicle accidents in the 24 hour period.
