Impaired Driver

On March 21st, Brockville Police performed a traffic stop in the south-west quadrant of the city.

A local, 22 year old male, was arrested and charged with impaired driving. Samples of his breath were taken at the police station which registered over the legal limit. As a result, he was also charged with operating a motor vehicle while over .08%. He was released with a future court date.

Traffic Stop

On March 20th, Brockville Police performed a routine traffic stop in the north end of the city.

The 52 year old, male driver, was the subject of an outstanding warrant from the Leeds OPP area. He was arrested by members of our Service and then transferred later to Leeds.

Threats

On March 19th, Brockville Police took a complaint of threats made to a female.

A local 47 year old, was complaining of threatening emails from her 49 year old ex-boyfriend. The local male was already on charges concerning the same victim. He was arrested and charged with threatening as well as breaching his recognizance. An appearance in bail court will take place on March 23rd.

Break and Enter

On March 17th at approximately 11:21 pm, Brockville Police responded to an alarm at a business in the King St.W. area.

At this time there is no indication that anything was taken however, the rear door frame suffered damage when entry was gained. The investigation continues.

Traffic Stop

On March 17th, at approximately 4:48 pm, Brockville Police officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the south end of the city.

The two male occupants, 36 and 25 years of age, were found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine and marijuana. The older male is a resident of Brockville and the other is from Gananoque. The Brockville resident was released on conditions with a future court date while the other male will appear in bail court on March 18th.

Domestic Dispute

On March 17th, Brockville Police responded to a domestic dispute at a northend apartment complex.

The dispute was between a 32 year old male and his 26 year old female partner. The male had been consuming alcohol and police were not confident the situation was going to get any better with their departure. He was arrested to prevent a further breach of the peace and released when alcohol was no longer a factor.

Domestic Dispute

On March 16th, Brockville Police responded to a domestic dispute at an apartment in the south end of the city.

A 48 year old, local male, was arguing with a 49 year old female. The male had been consuming alcohol which was in violation of his probation order. He was arrested for the probation breach and released later with a future court date.

Shoplifting

On March 16th, Brockville Police responded to the Superstore on Parkedale Ave. in regards to a female shoplifter.

A local, 36 year old female was charged with theft under $5000.00 and released from that location with a future court date.

Assault Update

We released a media report on March 12th in regards to a young female that had been slashed in the face with a edged weapon.

Further investigation has led to charges against the female as well in this case. She was in possession of a pepper spray type product and used same during the incident. She was also on conditions of a peace bond which included no contact with the male who was charged.

The 20 year old, local female, was charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon and breaching a peace bond. She was released on conditions with a future court date.

Also, in the release issued on the 12th, the victim was identified as 18 years of age. She is actually 20 years.

Public Intoxications

On March 16th, Brockville Police responded to a complaint concerning an intoxicated male face down in the snow on a south end street. Police arrested and charged the male with public intoxication.

He had the right house number but just the wrong street!! He was released with a fine when sober.
