August 27 – 30, 2015 Incidents

Bail Violation

On August 27th at approximately 11:20 pm, Brockville Police attended a south end residence in regards to a bail violation.

A female party had signed on as a surety for the bail release of a male friend. The local, 41 year old, was out past the curfew set out in his conditions. Police are now seeking the male party who will be held for another bail hearing after his arrest.

 

Break and Enter

On August 28th at approximately 8:10 pm, Brockville Police responded to a bar in the south end for a break and enter complaint.

Unknown person(s) smashed a lock leading into the office area of the bar and removed a quantity of cash.

The investigation is ongoing.

 

Drug Offences

On August 28th at approximately 8:15 pm, Brockville Police stopped a vehicle on Centennial Road for a traffic violation.

Investigation lead to a search of the vehicle and a quantity of marijuana seized. A local, 23 year old male, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and given a future court date.

 

Lifeline Alarm

On August 29th at approximately 1:50 am, Brockville Police responded to a south end residence for a lifeline alarm.

Officers had to force their way into the residence where they discovered a 94 year old male in need of medical assistance. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

 

Breach of Probation

On August 29th at approximately 8:20 pm, Brockville Police attended the Brockville Jail to deal with an intoxicated male.

A local, 27 year old male, had shown up for his weekend sentence but he was intoxicated. He was arrested for breaching his probation order and held for a bail hearing.

 

Unwanted Person

On August 30th at approximately 2:30 am, Brockville Police attended to the Tim Horton’s on William Street for an unwanted person.

Store employees had asked the male to leave as he was intoxicated and loud. The male refused to follow direction and was arrested and charged with public intoxication. The local, 42 year old, was released when sober with a fine.
