Suspicious Person

On September 22nd Brockville Police responded to a report of a female party lying on the 401.

The local 34 year old was located on Oxford Avenue shortly afterwards. She was taken to the Brockville General Hospital for evaluation. There were no injuries sustained by the subject and the call was a mental health issue.

Unwanted Person

On September 24th, Brockville Police responded to a north end apartment complex in regards to an unwanted person.

Police located an intoxicated male who was pounding on apartment doors. A local 19 year old male was arrested for Public Intoxication. He was released with a fine when sober.

Impaired Driver

On September 24th, Brockville Police responded to a complaint of erratic driving on north end streets.

The vehicle was stopped on California Avenue and the driver spoken to. A 29 year old male from the Prescott area was arrested for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle. He was released later in the day with a future court date.

Public Intoxication

On September 19th at 6:30 pm, Brockville Police responded to a south end residence to deal with a male party who would not pay his taxi fare.

A local, 37 year old male was charged with Public Intoxication. He was released with a fine when sober.
The cab fare was looked after.

Fail to Show to Weekend Sentence

On September 19th, Brockville Police received a complaint from the Brockville Jail in regards to a 31 year old male who failed to show for his weekend sentence.

Police are in the process of obtaining a warrant for his arrest.

Domestic Dispute

In the early morning hours of September 20th, Brockville Police responded to a domestic dispute at a south end apartment building.

A 24 year old male and a 23 year old female were involved in a heated argument. Police arrested the male party to prevent a further Breach of the Peace. Subsequent to his arrest, Police located approximately 40 grams of marijuana on his person. He was further charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Party was released from custody later with a future court date.

Domestic Dispute

On September 21st, Brockville Police attended to a south end residence in regards to a domestic dispute.

While investigating the complaint, a 27 year old female was arrested for Assault on her partner. At Police headquarters, the 26 year old male victim becomes agitated and starts causing problems. This results in his arrest for Obstructing police.

Both parties, local, were later released with future court dates.

Breach of Probation

On September 21st, Brockville Police speaking with two young females downtown who were riding with no lighting on their bikes.

One of the females on conditions not to communicate with the other due to trouble they got into in the past. The local 15 year old was charged with Breaching her release conditions as well as her probation.

She was released with a future court date.

Shoplifiting

On September 17th, Brockville Police responded to Super store on Parkedale Ave. in regards to a theft complaint.

A male and female attended the store and stole a television. They were approached by a loss prevention officer who was able to recover the property. Police caught up to the pair in the area of Parkedale Ave. and California Ave. The female was interfering in the arrest of the male and visa versa.

Both parties were charged with Theft, Obstruct Police and the female was charged with breaching release conditions from an unrelated criminal matter.
The 22 year old female and the 40 year old male were released on conditions with a future court date. Both are local residents.

Motor Vehicle Collision

Brockville Police investigated a collision earlier today involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.
At approx. 10:30 on September 18th, a south bound vehicle left its lane of traffic and struck a pedestrian who was walking north bound on the sidewalk.

The 20 year old pedestrian was taken to Brockville General Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The 31 year old driver of the motor vehicle was charged with Careless Driving.
