Suspicious Vehicle

On August 9th, Police responded to a suspicious vehicle and driver in the parking lot of a north end apartment complex.

While dealing with the driver, it was noted she had consumed alcohol. She would not however supply a sample of her breath when requested to do so. The local, 74 yr. old female was charged with Failing to Provide a Sample into a Roadside Screening Device.

She was released at the scene with a future court date.

Public Intoxication

In the early morning hours of August 10th, Police responded to an apartment complex on Stewart Blvd. in regards to a male party trying to enter different apartments.

Police found a 26 year. old male within the building who was very intoxicated and thought he was at a different building.

He was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication, released when sober and issued a fine.

Public Intoxication

On August 10th, Police discovered an intoxicated male in the back parking lot of the Police Station.

A 33 year old local male was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication. He was released when sober with a fine.

Many of our local youth tried their luck landing some fish with the aid of many officers and civilians from the Brockville Police Service.
A great day was experienced by all!!

Impaired Driving

On August 9th, Police stopped a vehicle in the area of the Royal Brock Hotel on Stewart Blvd.

The 52 yr. old non-local female driver was noted to have consumed alcohol. After breath tests were concluded, charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Impaired and Operating a Motor Vehicle Over .08% were laid.

She was released from custody when sober with a future court date.

Warrant

On August 6th, Police responded to a south end residence to check on the well being of a local female.

While investigating and finding out she is fine, Police spot a local male wanted for outstanding warrants by our Service.

The 34 yr. old male was arrested after a brief foot pursuit and taken into custody. He was held for a Bail Hearing.

Nuisance Phone Calls

On August 6th, Police responded to King St. address in regards to an assault complaint.

The 48 yr. old male complainant was unhappy about the incident and was repeatedly calling 911 and tying up emergency lines.

Subject was eventually arrested for Nuisance Phone Calls. He was later released when sober.

On August 6th, Police responded to a south end park in regards to a male party who was causing a disturbance.

A local 42 yr. old male was arrested to Prevent a Further Breach of the Peace.

He was released from custody when sober.

SCAM – Microsoft Security Office

The Microsoft Security Officer scam has again re-appeared locally. In this version of the scam a caller pretending to represent Microsoft Security calls and tells the victim their security software is out of date and needs to be upgraded against new potential threats. The caller then asks for the victim

Movie Night!

Movie Night was held last night at #12 Central Ave. Police were very happy with the turn out!!
