Death Investigation

On the 30th of October 2014 members of the Brockville Police were contacted to attend a North end apartment in order to check on the wellbeing of the occupants. Officers arrived and entered the apartment. At this time two females (1 adult/1 child) were located and were deceased. Members of the Brockville Police Criminal Investigation Branch and Forensic Identification Branch were contacted to attend. OPP Forensic Identification also attended and offered assistance.

This matter is deemed a Coroner

Its that time of year again when ghosts and goblins will take over our streets!!

Brockville Police would like to remind trick and treaters as well as motorists to be very careful.
Parents are encouraged to use reflective clothing and make use of flashlights.
Remain on one side of the street when attending houses and then use an intersection or crosswalk to gain access to the other side of the street.
Avoid zig zagging across streets and reduce the risk of someone getting hurt.
Do not leave small children unattended and keep them close by.
Looks like the weather will be on the cool side so dress children appropriately.
Brockville Police officers and Community Volunteers will be monitoring city streets to keep things safe for everyone.

Young Person Charged

On the 24th of October 2014 at 3:30 pm officers attended to the area of the Skatepark adjacent to the Memorial Centre. At this time a 17 year old male from the area was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. He was charged for the offence and released with a court date. A young female was also located and she was turned over to her parents. Police are frequenting checks of the area as reports of vandalism have increased. Please be respectful and enjoy the space for the purpose it was created. It should be noted that the majority of the users of the area are respectful.

Assault Charges Laid

On the 25th of October at midnight officers attended a disturbance on Brighton Crescent. At this time a 22 year female from the area was located. She was charged with two counts of assault and mischief for the damage at the residence. She was released with a future court date.

On the 25th of October 2014 at 2:40 am officers were waved down by staff at the Phoenix. At this time an adult male from Brockville was arrested for assault, breach of probation and possession of a controlled substance. The male had a assaulted a staff member and will appear at a future court date.

Female Flees on Police

On the 27th of October at 1004 am officers were advised of a vehicle travelling on Ormond Street with a person known to be wanted by the Gananoque Police in the passenger seat. Officers attended the area and activated their emergency equipment in order to pull the vehicle over. The vehicle fled travelling through a red light at Ormond and Central and subsequently travelled over to Park Street. The vehicle came to a stop and the passenger fled on foot. The 45 year old female from the Gananoque area then entered a residence in an attempt to elude police. The occupants did not know the female and she was quickly arrested. The female has numerous outstanding charges from the Gananoque police and is currently charged with breach of recognizance and breaking and entering by Brockville. The driver of the vehicle is 18 years old and is charged with dangerous driving and escape by flight. The driver was released from custody and the passenger was turned over to Gananoque Police.
