Medical Assist

On August 5th, Police responded to a south end business to assist paramedics in regards to a 42 yr. old local male who had collapsed.

The subject was conveyed to BGH by ambulance but did not survive.

No further information at this time.

Breach of Probation

On August 5th, Police responded to a tugboat that was docked near Thomas Street.

A local 23 yr. old male was found intoxicated and passed out on the vessel. He had climbed onto the boat to remove his fishing lure which was caught in one of the ropes for the boat.

Subject was also found to be on probation and was breaching one of his terms.

Impaired Driving

On August 5th, Police responded to an unknown disturbance in a downtown parking lot.

As a result of investigating the incident, a local 28 yr. old male was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operating a Motor Vehicle Over .08%. Subject was also on release conditions at the time with a condition to be of good behaviour. He was charged with a breach as well.

Released from custody when sober with new conditions and a new court date.

Mischief

On August 5th, Police responded to a north end address in regards to a male causing damage to the exterior of a residence.

A local 38 yr. old male was arrested and charged with Mischief, Causing a Disturbance and Breaching his Probation.

Subject was taken to BGH by Police to be treated for minor cuts and held for a bail hearing.

Damage to property was minor in nature.

Disturb the Peace

In the evening on August 5th, Police responded to disturbance on Broad St. involving a group of females.

Damage was sustained to a vehicle owned by one of the involved parties. A local 24 yr. old female was charged with Mischief and released with a future court date.

Warrant

On August 6th, Police responded to a south end residence to check on the well being of a local female.

While investigating and finding out she is fine, Police spot a local male wanted for outstanding warrants by our Service.

The 34 yr. old male was arrested after a brief foot pursuit and taken into custody. He was held for a Bail Hearing.

Nuisance Phone Calls

On August 6th, Police responded to King St. address in regards to an assault complaint.

The 48 yr. old male complainant was unhappy about the incident and was repeatedly calling 911 and tying up emergency lines.

Subject was eventually arrested for Nuisance Phone Calls. He was later released when sober.

On August 6th, Police responded to a south end park in regards to a male party who was causing a disturbance.

A local 42 yr. old male was arrested to Prevent a Further Breach of the Peace.

He was released from custody when sober.

Hit and Run

Brockville Police are investigating an incident that occurred in the Tim Hortons parking lot located at Jefferson Drive shortly after 2100 hrs on the 5th of August 2014. A green GMC Jimmy or Chev Blazer of unknown plate had words with a technician who was working in the drivethru on equipment when the driver of the green Jimmy yelled at the technician to get out of the way and then drove by the technician striking him in the right arm with his mirror, collapsing the mirror into the vehicle. The driver then yelled at the technician and fled.

The male is described as being early 50’s, white hair and white moustache. He had a female passenger. The service is treating this occurence as a fail to remain and ask the publics help in identifying this driver and the vehicle.
