Arrest in Domestic Incident

A 35 year old Brockville man is scheduled to appear in bail court today after police were notified of a domestic dispute which had taken place earlier in the day at a residence in central Brockville.

While interviewing the female victim, investigators also learned of a previous domestic assault which had occurred on Monday at the couple’s residence. At the time of both incidents the male was currently serving a Community Sentence Order for previous offences.

Shortly after 4:30 pm the 35 year old man was located and placed under arrest in relation to the domestic incidents. He is now facing charges of 2 counts of assault, forcible confinement and breach of his conditional sentence order. The victim is in good physical condition and did not require medical attention.

Stolen Bicycle

The Brockville Police are seeking the public’s assistance with regards to a break and enter investigation reported yesterday.

Officers attended to a residence in the area of Toniata School where a shed was broken into and a number of items taken including a racing bicycle.

Found Husky

The Brockville Police are trying to locate the owner of a black and white husky found early last evening in the John and Brock Street area.

Shortly after 7pm last evening from an area resident reporting they had found the dog in the area. The husky had no tags, and was wearing a leather collar. Officers canvassed the neighbourhood knocking on doors but were unable to locate the dog’s owner.

The dog was taken to Meowtown for its safety and kept there. They may be contacted at 613-342-7816
