Public Intoxication
On December 11th at 1:57 am., Brockville Police began dealing with an intoxicated male outside a bar on King Street.
The male tried to take off on foot but was located a short distance away and was now trespassing on private property. The local, 31 year old was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He was released later the same day when sober with a fine.
Warrant
On December 11th at 12:20 pm., Brockville Police Special Constables arrested a local, 34 year old male at the Provincial Court House.
The subject had showed up at court on another matter and was informed of the local warrant for failing to appear for the taking of his fingerprints. He was processed on Brockville’s warrant and was told that the Cornwall Police also had a warrant for him. The Cornwall Police then attended and arrested the male, returning him to their jurisdiction.
Domestic Dispute
On December 12th at 3:33 am., Brockville Police attended a domestic dispute at a south end apartment building.
A local, 25 year old male, assaulted his 22 year old girlfriend by striking her in the face. She received a small cut in the process. The male fled the apartment before Police arrived. He turned himself in later after speaking with Police on the phone. He was arrested and charged with assault and breaching his probation. The probation order was as a result of an earlier conviction for assault but not on the same victim.
The accused was held for weekend bail court and was released by the courts on conditions.
Mischief
On December 12th at 4:34 am., Brockville Police responded to a mischief complaint at a King Street West apartment.
A 23 year old female returned home to find her residence had been broken into and damage done to the apartment and her personal possessions.
Later on in the weekend, Police arrested and charged her ex-boyfriend for break and enter and mischief. The local, 28 year old, will appear in bail court later today.
Motor Vehicle Accident
On December 12th at 3:09 pm., Brockville Police attended a single motor vehicle accident on Stewart Blvd.
The local, 38 year old, male driver was noted to be under the influence of a drug. A drug recognition officer was called to the scene to confirm the findings.
As a result, the male was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by a drug. He was released later the same day with a future court date.
RIDE
On December 12th at 10:53 pm., Brockville Police were conducting a RIDE Program on Stewart Blvd.
A local, 20 year old male, was stopped as a result and there were indicators of recent marijuana use. A search of the vehicle turned up a quantity of marijuana and cash. The male was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and breaching outstanding conditions of another release document for charges still before the courts. He was released later on conditions with a future court date.
Unwanted Person
On December 13th at 1:21 am., Brockville Police responded to a bar on King Street East for an unruly patron.
A local, 36 year old male, was giving bar staff a hard time as well as attending officers. After being given several opportunities to leave the area and still failing to follow direction, the male was arrested for public intoxication. He was released later the same day when sober with a fine.
Disturbance
On December 13th at 3:01 am., Brockville Police attended a north end apartment for a female causing a disturbance.
Police had dealt with the local, 21 year old, earlier in the evening, at which time she was sent to a friend’s residence from downtown to avoid issues. Once at her friend’s apartment, the female continued her negative behaviour and was arrested to prevent a further breach of the peace. She was released later in the day when sober without charges.
Public Intoxication
On December 13th at 8:45 pm., Brockville Police dealt with an intoxicated male on a south end street.
The local, 55 year old, was arrested and charged with public intoxication. While in Police custody, his health appeared to be declining. An ambulance was asked to attend the Police Service and the male was taken to hospital to be treated for other health issues.
