Impaired Driver
A 38 year old Brockville woman is facing charges of impaired driving and driving over the legal limit of alcohol in her system as a result of a traffic stop just before 11 p.m. last night.
Brockville Police officers observed a bronze coloured 4 door Kia driving on California Avenue driving erratically and initiated a traffic stop at Laurier Boulevard and California. Officers when speaking with the woman detected alcohol on her breath and asked her to perform a roadside test in which she registered fail. As a result she was arrested and conveyed to the Brockville Police Service where she provided breathalyzer samples registered almost twice the legal limit.
She was processed and released with a promise to appear and a future court date. Her vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.
