December 14 – 17, 2018 Incidents

On the 14th of November, 2018, at 14:45 hours, the accused parties a 22 year old male and a 23 year old female were at the Walmart located at 1942 Parkedale Avenue in the City of Brockville.

At approximately 15:45 hours, the accused parties attempted to leave the store with a cart full of groceries. It was at that time they were asked for the receipt of payment, when they produced a receipt from the day earlier, with only three items on it. When confronted with this by store staff, they explained that the other receipt was in the car and that they would attend to the car to get it. Police were notified and they were charged with theft.

After being placed in the rear of the police vehicle, the male accused, lay on his back on the seat and proceeded to kick the top of the rear driver’s side door with both feet, springing the door from the vehicle, causing damage.

On the 7th of December 2018 both accused were to appear in court and failed to do so.

On the 14th of December 2018, both surrendered to police for their outstanding warrants. They were arrested without incident.
