December 15 – 17, 2017 Incidents

Break and Enter

On Friday December 15, 2017 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1 p.m. unknown person(s) forced entry to the residence at 36 Apple Street in the City of Brockville and have taken undisclosed items from within. Residents of the home were not present at the time. Anyone with information concerning this matter, including suspicious people or vehicles in that area, during that time are asked to contact Cst. Impaired Operation

On the 16th of December, 2017 at approximatley 2 a.m. witnesses observed a single vehicle collsion in the area of Ormond Street and Edgewood Avenue. The vehicle and driver were located by police and the driver was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. The driver, a 23 year old Brockville resident, was released with a future court date on charges of impaired operation of driving a motor vehicle while his blood alcohol concentration was over 80 mgs. of alcohol in 100 mls of blood.

 

Young Person arrested for breaching conditions of his Probation

On the 16th of December, 2017 at approximatley 2 a.m. members of the Brockville Police attended to a home in the south end for reports of an out of control youth. The 13 year old boy was at large on a probation order with numerous conditions. The young person was arrested for breaching the conditions of his probation order and was remanded into custody to await a bail hearing.

 

R.I.D.E.

On the 16th of December 2017 approximatley 150 vehicles were checked with one 7 day suspension being issued for operating a motor vehicle while the driver’s blood alcohol concentration was in excess to the allowable level.

The public can expect to see officers conducting R.I.D.E. check points through out the city during the holiday season. Remember if you drink don’t drive.

 

Liquour Licence Act

On the 17th of December, 2017 at approximately 3 a.m. a 20 year old Brockville man was observed in an intoxicated state in the area of James Street and Victoria Avenue. The man was described as rolling in the snow and yelling. Officers located the young man and he was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place contrary to the Liquor Licence Act. For his safety, the man was lodged in cells and released when he was sober.
