Shoplifting
On December 15, 2021 at about 11:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint regarding a theft from Shoppers Drug Mart on Parkedale Ave. It was reported that multiple fragrances were stolen from the store with a value totaling $320.00. Investigation confirmed a 40-year-old male, identified by police, took the merchandise. Later, on December 20, 2021 at about 3:00PM, officers from the Brockville Police Service located and arrested the identified male for theft under $5,000.00. When he was located, it was also discovered that the male was in breach of his probation conditions. He was present with a female, which he is on conditions to abstain from communicating with. Once the investigation was complete, he was charged and released on an undertaking for the offences of theft under $5,000.00 and fail to comply with probation. He has been given a future court date.
Domestic Dispute
On December 21, 2021 at about 5:00AM, the Brockville Police Service responded to a 911 call that had been disconnected prior to receiving information about the complaint. Officers attended to check the residence on King St. E., where the call originated from, to ensure everyone’s safety. When officers arrived they located a male and female couple who had been involved in a domestic dispute. Investigation revealed that the 45-year-old female had thrown a furniture item at her male partner. She was placed under arrest for assault with a weapon. Once the investigation was completed, she was released on an undertaking for the above mentioned offence with conditions and a future court date. Any injuries are considered minor in nature.
Warrant and Personation
On December 22, 2021 at about 9:00PM, officers from the Brockville Police Service located and arrested a 26-year-old female who had multiple warrants for her arrest including; a bench warrant for fail to attend court and a warrant in first instance for failing to attend for fingerprinting. When the female was originally located, she attempted to identify herself as a different female with a piece of stolen, government issued identification. She was later released on an undertaking for the above mentioned offences pertaining to the warrants. She was additionally charged with personation with intent to avoid arrest and possession of an identity document.
Warrants
On December 20, 2021 at about 10:45PM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint regarding a female at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Parkedale Ave. It was believed the female was attempting to steal items. Officers arrived quickly and located the female. The female was identified as a 37-year-old female who had outstanding warrants for her arrest. These were bench warrants for failing to attend court on previous theft and failing to comply with probation charges. She was arrested and released with a new court date.
Further;
On December 22, 2021 at about 4:45PM, a 32-year-old female attended the Brockville Police Service to turn herself in due to an outstanding bench warrant for fail to attend court. She was issued a new court date and released.
