A 15 year old youth, who was wanted for assault in relation to a Monday night incident, attended to the Brockville Police Service and surrendered to police Tuesday evening.

At approximately 5:15 p.m. last evening the young woman attended to the front desk and identified herself to officers in the building. She had learned officers were looking for her in relation to an incident at Thousands Islands Secondary School the previous afternoon after an altercation with her ex-boyfriend.

She was charged with assault and released from custody with a Promise to Appear at a future court date and an Undertaking with several conditions including not having any contact with the victim.

Unwanted Person call leads to arrest

A 50 year old Brockville man is in custody this morning after police received a call yesterday just before 2:00 p.m. of an unwanted male at a downtown apartment.

Officers responded to a King Street West apartment building and learned the man had been drinking and was fighting with his 56 year old common-law and not allowing her to leave the building. When he would not allow her to leave and he would not leave the apartment police were contacted by a friend of the woman to attend.

After arriving police spoke with those present and arrested the man for forcible confinement and brought him to police headquarters where he was held overnight pending a bail hearing later today.
