Intoxicated Female Arrested

A 26 year-old female was arrested late Friday evening after an argument with her partner.

Police we called to a center-town apartment after reports were received of a couple arguing within. Upon police arrival, the female had left the residence, but was located a short distance away, heavily intoxicated.

Given her level of intoxication, she was placed under arrest for being intoxicated in a public place contrary to the Liquor Licence Act. She was later released from custody, once sober.

 

Disturbance

Refusing to leave a downtown establishment after several requests led to the arrest of a local 23 year-old man early Saturday morning.

Shortly before 2 am, officers were called to the business to assist staff in dealing with the un-cooperative male. The man, who was heavily intoxicated, was arrested by police for being intoxicated in a public place contrary to the Liquor Licence Act and failing to leave when directed to do so under the Trespass to Property Act . He was later released from custody, once sober.

 

Intoxicated Female Arrested

A 23 year-old Ottawa woman was arrested by police early Saturday morning for being intoxicated in a public place contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.

The female was located walking in the North end of the City, in an intoxicated state, causing police to be concerned for her safety. The woman was subsequently taken into custody and escorted to Brockville Police Service Headquarters. She was later released into the care of a family member.
