Possession of Stolen Property
On November 28th, Brockville Police took a theft complaint from a residence in the north end of the city. Stolen from the garage of the residence was a Dewalt compound mitre saw.
Police attended a pawn shop within the city and located the saw along with the identity of the individual who pawned the item. As it turned out, the party responsible for pawning the saw knew the victim very well as he was renting a property from the victim at the time.
On December 3rd, Police located the local, 31 year old male. He was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property and breaching a current probation order. The subject was released on conditions with a future court date.
Shoplifting
On December 3rd at 11:55 am., Brockville Police attended a north end box store for a theft complaint. A local, 21 year old female, had been apprehended by store security for shoplifting. She was released at the scene with a fine issued under the Trespass to Property Act.
