Assault/breach of conditions
On the 9th of December 2018 at 3:00 pm a 29 year old female was arrested and charged with five counts of breach of probation, 3 counts of failing to comply with an officer in charge undertaking, weapons dangerous, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of crystal methamphetamine.
Police had received several calls on Sunday in relation to this female. She was eventually located at the Quickie Convenience store on William St. after the clerk called police to have her removed. The female had been threatening people in the area with a large stick. She continued this behaviour when police arrived. She was taken into custody without incident. A search incident to arrest led to the discovery of a quantity of drugs.
The female was then linked to a theft from a Tim Horton’s restaurant at 6:30 am that day. She had been released from our custody 30 minutes prior to the theft as she had been arrested on a warrant for failing to attend court.
She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
