Motor Vehicle Accident
On February 19th at 8:32 pm., Brockvile Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at a north end intersection.
When Officers arrived on scene, witnesses informed them that the male driver of one of the vehciles had left the scene and another male was now trying to pass himself off as the driver. Police located the absent, 28 year old, local male, later and charged him with fail to remain, fail to yield to traffic and driving while suspended. The other male was a relation of the accused. The local, 51 year old, was charged with obstructing Police and was released with a future court date.
There were no injuries involved in the accident although the younger man struck himself in the face to try and create injuries that he felt would match up with airbag contact.
Missing Female Located
On February 20th, during the afternoon hours, Brockville Police located a missing, 13 year old female.
She was found in the company of another female, 15 years of age. The two teens were under conditions of probation that included not to be in each other’s company. The 13 year old was remanded into custody after no environment was found suitable to release her into. She will appear in bail court today.
Police have still to process the 15 year old female on her charges although she will be released at that time with a future court date.
Noise Complaint
On February 20th at 10:14 pm., Brockville Police responded to a noise complaint at an apartment in the center of town.
Some of the visitors to the residence left in cabs. One male however, was having trouble following direction and was intoxicated. The local, 24 year old, was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He was released with a fine when sober.
Mischief
On February 21st at 12:25 am., Brockville Police attended a south end apartment complex along with the Brockville Fire Department. Three males were observed entering the complex where they discharged a fire extinguisher in the common area of the building. The investigation is ongoing in regards to suspects.
Family Dispute
On February 21st at 2:31 pm., Brockville Police attended a north end apartment building for a family dispute.
A local. 25 year old male, was arguing with another family member in the hallway. At that time, Police spoke to the parties involved and offered advice.
Police were called to reattend the building at 6:11 pm. The male was in the community under strict conditions placed on him by the courts. He was arrested for breaching his conditions by not keeping the peace and not taking certain medication.
He was held for bail court.
Family Dispute
On February 21st at 8:55 pm., Brockville Police attended a family dispute at a south end residence.
A local, 14 year old male, was giving family members a hard time and was described as being out of control. Police escorted the youth to hospital to speak to appropriate people and obtain needed help.
