Warrant Resulting in Drug Charges

Five area adults are facing charges of Possession of Controlled Drugs for the Purposes of Trafficking as a result of a search warrant authorized under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a Bartholomew St residence early yesterday morning. 

Members of the Brockville Police Emergency Response Team and Drug Unit, while executing the warrant found quantities of Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Heroin and Fentanyl along with evidence of drug trafficking inside the residence during the search. 

Two adult women and three adult males ranging in ages 30 to 53 are facing charges of Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking after being arrested at the residence. Two were held for a bail hearing while the three others were released from custody with a future court date. 

 

Warrant:

On February 22, 2022 at about 1:00AM, officers from the Brockville Police Service were on patrol in the area of Pearl St. E. They observed a male who noticed the police vehicle begin to run and jump a fence to get out of the area. Officers caught up to the individual and identified him to be a 53-year-old male who was wanted by police. Investigation revealed there was  bench warrant for failing to attend court and a second warrant for fail to attend for fingerprints. He was arrested and released on an appearance notice with a new court date.

 

Theft:

On February 22, 2022 at about 9:30PM, the Brockville Police Service received a call regarding a shoplifter at the SuperStore on Parkedale Ave. Officers attended and spoke to the Loss Prevention Officer who had a 42-year-old female in their custody. The total amount of merchandise attempting to be stolen was approximately $500.00. The female was charged with theft under $5,000.00 and released with a future court date.

 

Theft:

On February 23, 2022 at about 9:15AM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint of a theft from a residence on Windsor Dr. Investigation revealed that two females provide services to care for customers pets. It was learned by the complainant that over time that the two females were stealing property from the victims’ residence. These acts were captured on video. The females were identified to be 61 and 46 year old females. They were arrested and charged with theft under $5,000.00 and released with a future court date.

 

Warrant:

On February 23, 2022 at about 10:30PM, officers from the Brockville Police Service were on patrol in the area of William St. While there, they located a 48-year-old male, who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The warrant was a bench warrant for failing to attend court. He was arrested shortly after and upon searching the male, officers located approximately a ½ gram of fentanyl. He was held for a bail hearing on the warrant and additionally charged with possession of fentanyl.

 

Bail Violation:

On February 24, 2022 at about 6:30PM, officers from the Brockville Police Service conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, which had some mechanical issues. It was determined that there was a male passenger in the vehicle along with a 41-year-old, female driver. Further investigation revealed that the female was on undertaking conditions to abstain from communicating the male passenger. She was placed under arrest and held for a bail hearing for the offence of fail to comply with undertaking.
