Fire Investigation
At approximately 3:00am this morning, Brockville Fire, Brockville Police and Emergency Medical Services responded to an active structure fire in the area of Perth Street and Brock Street. At this time, one occupant of the building has been confirmed deceased. Police are still attempting to locate and speak with three other residents of the building. Personal details of the deceased are not being disclosed at this time in respect of their family.
The investigation is ongoing and involves The Brockville Police Service, The Brockville Fire Department, The Office of the Fire Marshall and the Office of the Chief Coroner. Unfortunately, as we know, fire investigations are complex. Police are asking that the public remain clear of the area while the investigation is underway.
