Impaired Driving

On February 19th at 2:54 am., Brockville Police stopped a vehicle on a south end street to begin an impaired investigation.

The male driver had consumed alcohol and as a result, Officers demanded a sample of his breath for a roadside device.  The local, 31 year old, began to walk away from the scene and would not comply with the request that is required by law.  The man resisted Officers physically when being arrested.  Police did receive breath samples after arriving at the station.

Charges of impaired operation, driving over .08% and obstruct Police were laid.  The accused was released later in the day with a future court date.
