Theft from Liquor Store
A 21 year old man from Gananoque is facing charges of theft and breaching his probation after stealing a bottle of liquor from the King Street LCBO yesterday afternoon.
At 2:05 p.m. yesterday staff at the LCBO observed two men enter the store and select bottles off the shelf and leave the store making no attempt to pay for the liquor. Brockville Police were contacted as the pair was observed running away from the store on King Street. When officers arrived they were watching the video surveillance footage of the incident and noticed one of the men in the LCBO again.
Officers attended to the floor area of the store and arrested the man for theft under $5000 and learned that he was on probation at the time of the incident. He will also face charges of breaching his probation order as a result.
The second male remains at large and officers are still attempting to locate him.
