Bail Violator wanted
A 47 year old Brockville man is wanted for violating his bail conditions after his surety reported to police that he was violating his conditions by not remaining inside the residence.
Yesterday morning shortly after 10 a.m. Brockville Police received a call from the man’s surety to attend her residence where she told officers the man had been living at her residence for approximately a month since he was released from custody and for at least the past 3 weeks has left the residence without any legal justification contrary to his bail conditions. She further advised police the accused will leave the residence both during the day and at night.
The 47 year old man is currently before the courts charged with several break and enters which occurred in the late summer and fall in the Bartholomew Street and Central Avenue area. At present officers are in the process of obtaining a warrant for the man’s arrest. Efforts continue to locate him or speak with him and make arrangements to turn himself in at headquarters.
Wrong house – Man arrested
A 41 year old Brockville resident was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place when he attempted to gain entry into the wrong house.
Shortly after 7:30 p.m. a Buell Street resident was in her house when overheard the man attempting to get into her residence and she told him he had the wrong house. She noticed that he was slurring his words and having difficulty with his speech and contacted police.
On arrival in the area, officers located the man and noticed he was very intoxicated and was belligerent to those trying to assist him in locating his residence. As a result he was placed under arrest for public intoxication and spent the night at the Brockville Police station until he was sober. He was released in the morning with a Provincial Offences Notice.
