On January 25, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. the Brockville Police Service responded to a collision at 7712 Kent Boulevard.   A blue Chevrolet Equinox that was originally parked across the street at the Dollarama had hit another vehicle sending it into a local retailer. The driver of the vehicle lost control due to a medical crisis. The vehicle travelled from the Dollarama parking lot, mounting the curb travelling west, across Kent Blvd. into the lot of 7712 Kent Blvd, striking two vehicles before hitting the parked Ford sending it into Taylor Sewing Centre.

The driver of the Equinox was transported to Brockville General Hospital for her injuries. Luckily no one else was injured in this incident. No charges are expected in this investigation.

Foot Pursuit

Officers on routine patrol observed a 20 year old male breaching his probation by associating with someone that he was prohibited from communicating with. Upon seeing police he attempted to flee, but was caught by the officer giving chase. The male attempted to resist his arrest, but officers were eventually able to handcuff the male. He has now been charged with two counts of breaching his probation and resisting arrest.
