Home Invasion Investigation
Detectives continue their investigation into a home invasion which occurred overnight in the city’s south end.
Sometime between 1:00 – 3:00 a.m. unknown suspects entered an Orchard Street residence and surprised one of the occupants as they entered the home. A suspect carrying an unidentified weapon in his hand confronted the victim and demanded to know where the other people in the house were. The victim was kept in a room inside the house while the other suspects searched and ransacked the residence before leaving.
Footprints in the fresh snow indicate the suspects fled from the residence on Orchard near Victoria Park in the direction of James Street possibly to a waiting vehicle.
