Theft of Metal
Yesterday morning workers from the construction site at Westminster school reported that sometime over the weekend, scrap metal was stolen from the site.
Workers reporting for duty at approximately 8:30 a.m. Monday made the discovery and contacted police. The steel which has an approximate value of $750 consisted of flashing and stainless steel metal pieces from the school.

Break and Enter to Pauline’s Lingerie
Brockville Police are investigating a break and enter to Pauline’s Lingerie over the weekend resulting in the theft of an undisclosed amount of cash from the store.
An employee opening the store Monday morning discovered the break and enter while preparing for her shift. She then contacted police and waited outside the store until officers arrived. A Scenes of Crime officer with the Brockville Police examined the scene prior to the business reopening.

Pedestrian Struck
At 5:30 pm last evening officers with the Brockville Police Service responded to the intersection of Parkedale Avenue and Ormond Street after receiving a report of a man being struck by a motor vehicle.
A 26 year old Brockville area man was crossing Parkedale Ave when he was struck by a white Chevrolet Equinox in the intersection. He suffered injuries to his shoulders, ribs and hip and taken to Brockville General Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The driver of the Equinox, a 71 year old Brockville woman was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for Failing to Yield for a Pedestrian.
Domestic Disputes
Two people are facing charges in relation to two separate domestic occurrences Monday evening.
At 7:30 p.m. Brockville Police were called to a King Street West apartment after a caller reported a domestic had just taken place and was requesting both police and EMS. On arrival police located and spoke with the 18 year old female victim who had suffered injuries to her chest and face prior to her being transported to Brockville General Hospital.
Officers then located the 23 year old man responsible inside the apartment and placed him under arrest for domestic assault and conveyed him to Brockville Police headquarters where he was held overnight pending a Bail Hearing later today.
A short time later at 8:45 pm a 33 year old Maitland area man attended to the Brockville Police station to speak with officers in regard to a domestic disturbance he had had with his girlfriend.
He reported that during an argument with his girlfriend she threw a television on the floor and was scratched by her during the argument.
A 37 year old Brockville woman is facing charges of domestic assault and mischief as a result. She was released with a future court date.
