July 6 – 7, 2016 Incidents

Fire Alarm

On July 6th at 1:42 am, Brockville Police responded to a pulled fire alarm at a north end apartment building. The alarm was another hoax.

At 9:38 pm, on the same date, the alarm was pulled a second time.

On July 7th at 2:23 am, culprits repeated the offence. Police are looking into suspects.

If anyone has information on the person(s) responsible, please contact the Brockville Police. These false alarms pull emergency services away from calls where their intervention is actually required.

 

Passed Out Male

On July 7th at 7:55 pm., Brockville Police attended an alleyway beside a downtown convenience store.

A local 46 year old male, well known to Police, was passed out due to alcohol consumption. He was arrested and charged with public intoxication. A fine was issued when he sobered up and was released.

 

Bomb Threat

On July 7th at 9:16 pm, Brockville Police attended the VIA train station on Perth Street. A female passenger from Montreal, advised other passengers there was a bomb on the train.

Officers removed the 50 year old from the train and after conversing with her, believed the threat was not true and she was suffering from mental health issues. She was escorted to hospital for appropriate care.
