Courthouse Arrest

A 25 year-old Kemptville man was arrested at the Brockville Courthouse on an outstanding warrant late Friday morning. The man was observed by officers at the Courthouse and was known to be wanted by police for breaching previous court orders. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

 

Domestic Dispute

A domestic disturbance late Friday evening has led to charges, Police were called to a downtown address after receiving a 911 call in regards to the incident. Upon arriving, police learned that an argument between a 42 year old female and 42 year old male had become physical. The male is alleged to have forced his way into the residence of the victim, where he then proceeded to assault her.

Police are currently making efforts to locate the 42 year old North Augusta male, who had left the area prior to police arrival. He is charged with Domestic Assault and Break and Enter.

 

Disturbance

A disturbance at a North end apartment complex early Saturday morning led to the arrest of a local 25 year old man.

Police attended the address after a male and female could be heard yelling in the hallway of the building. Through the course of the investigation, it was learned that the man had referenced a weapon while speaking to a by stander. The man was also found to be on Court ordered conditions which included a curfew.

The 25 year old Brockville man has been arrested for Weapons Dangerous and Breach of Recognizance. He has been held in custody.

 

Thefts from vehicles

Brockville Police continue to receive daily reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles. Citizens are reminded to remain vigilant in ensuring their vehicles are locked and all valuables are removed to prevent loss.
