Probation Breach
On July 8th at 2:02 pm, Brockville Police took a complaint from a local, 19 year old woman.
Her ex-boyfriend is on probation with conditions including not to communicate with her. Officers learned he had been contacting her on a frequent basis. When located, the local 23 year old was issued paperwork for breaching the order and given a future court date.
Impaired Driver
On July 8th at 5:19 pm., Brockville Police received information of a possible impaired driver at St. Lawrence Park.
Park Staff indicated a man, who was camping at the park, returned in his vehicle and struck the curb entering the park’s lot. His vehicle had sustained moderate damage and was leaking one of its fluids. Officers spoke with a 33 year old man, from Onaping, Ontario. He was arrested for impaired driving and taken for breath tests. His results came back almost double the legal limit. A second charge of driving over the legal limit was then added.
The man was released later with a future court date. His licence was automatically suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded.
Mental Health
On July 8th at 7:18 pm, Brockville Police attended the Millwood Avenue area to search for a local man.
He became engaged in a dispute with other family members in the area of Canadian Tire and took off on foot. Due to past mental health issues, the family was looking for help in locating him.
Officers located the 56 year old after a short foot pursuit nearby. When speaking to the subject, it was obvious he was suffering some mental health related problems. He was taken to local hospital for appropriate care.

On July 9th at 8:09 am, Brockville Police attended a north end Tim Horton’s to check on a female.
Officers dealt with a 26 year old, from Montreal, who seemed confused and was asking customers questions that didn’t make any sense. Family members were contacted and indicated the behaviour started about a week ago. The woman had exhibited similar behaviour in stops along the 401 on route to Brockville. Police agencies in those areas indicated she had left prior to their arrival. Officers took the woman to hospital for appropriate treatment.
Mental Health
On July 10th at 4:40 am, Brockville Police attended a residence in the center of the city to check on the health of a local 44 year old woman.
The female had made comments over the phone about wanting to harm herself. Officers spoke with her and decided she should attend with them to hospital. She was left with hospital staff to evaluate her mental health and receive appropriate care.
Mental Health
On July 10th at 9:46 am, Brockville Police attended a south end apartment complex to check on a young woman.
She was observed sitting in front of the building in her underwear. She had broken a mirror, picked up a piece of the glass and returned into her apartment. Officers located the 26 year old, decided she needed to attend hospital and escorted her there. At the time, she had no injuries and was left with hospital staff for evaluation.
Fire Alarm
On July 10th at 11:33 pm, Brockville Police once again, attended a north end apartment building for a pulled fire alarm.
The incident was a mischief not a working fire.
