Bail Violations
June 22, 2021 shortly after midnight, officers were dispatched to St. Lawrence Park for reports of a female screaming. Officers were directed to an occupied site by park staff. The officers located 24-year-old female who stated that she had an argument with her boyfriend. She advised officers that the male was not at the site, but was now in the washroom at the campground. A 31-year-old male located hiding behind a tent provided a false name to the officers. As police continued to speak with witnesses in the area, the female attempted to leave the campground in her vehicle. As the female was leaving officers discovered the real identity of the male, who was on bail conditions to be in his residence and not to communicate with that female. Officers stopped the vehicle and located the male hiding in the trunk. The male was taken into custody after a struggle. He is charged with 1) 2 counts of fail to comply with a release order 2) breach of probation and 3) Obstruct police. He was held in custody for a bail hearing. The female was charged with obstructing police and released at the scene.
