Weapons:
On June 5th at 3:00 p.m. the Brockville Police Service responded to a 911 call for a possible domestic in the city’s north end, involving a male brandishing a machete. The victim had run to the safety of a neighbouring apartment. On police arrival they were immediately challenged by the 28 year old male suspect. The male was armed with a machete, refused to comply with the officer’s commands. The male continued to challenge the officers, who had him at gun point. One officer was able to safely transition to a “taser” that he deployed on the subject. The officers then physical control of the male and took him into custody. The male has been charged with weapons dangerous, mischief, assault, uttering threats and breach of probation. The male was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Stolen Vehicle:
On the 4th of June 2019 the Brockville Police Service was contacted by Howard’s Bus Line reporting a theft of a Micro Bus (short school bus). Officers on routine patrol observed that bus with three occupants on board traveling on Water St. Officers lost sight of the vehicle, but it was found abandoned at the Metro Store parking lot. A 26 year old female, a 22 year old male and a 33 year old male were identified and the three have been charged with possession of property obtained by crime.
