Break and Enter

On June 6th at 7:20 am, Brockville Police took a break and enter complaint at the Royal Brock location on Stewart Blvd., which included the theft of tools.

Two jack hammers, a laser level and some other items were removed from the site, currently under construction. The incident took place over the weekend and the investigation is ongoing.

 

Bail Violation

On June 6th at 9:36 am, Brockville Police received information of a wanted man returning to Ontario. A local 36 year old was being sought by the Brockville Police for fraud and breaches of his bail conditions.

Information was, he was flying into Ottawa after taking off to Edmonton. Ottawa Police were contacted and asked to arrest the man when he arrived at the airport. The arrest was completed and the accused individual stated he had recently ingested a quantity of drugs. After he was checked out medically and found to be lying, he was placed in their cells. Brockville Police Officers arrived in Ottawa early morning on June 7th, and returned the man to our city. He is being held in custody and will appear in bail court.

 

Assault

On June 6th at 11:35 am, Brockville Police engaged in a joint investigation with the Children’s Aid Society (CAS).

A local 44 year old man has been arrested and charged with assault on his 14 year old son. The boy suffered minor injuries to his face as a result. The accused was released on conditions and issued a future fingerprint and court appearance date.

 

Warrants

On June 6th at 1:37 pm, Brockville Police attended a domestic dispute on the street in the south end of the city. A local 18 year old male was arguing with his 15 year old girlfriend.

It was not their day however, Brockville Police held warrants of arrest for both of them. The male was wanted for breaching conditions of his recognizance, assault with a weapon and possession of stolen property. The female was wanted for break and enter, assault and breaching her probation.

Both parties were arrested and the warrants executed. They remain behind bars and will appear in bail court.

 

Shoplifting

On June 6th at 1:44 pm., Brockville Police attended a north end box store for a theft complaint.

A local 22 year old female was apprehended by loss prevention staff after taking items and making no attempt to purchase same. She was released at the scene with a future court date and trespassed from the store.
