Break in to Former Red Cross Building

Security at the Brockville General Hospital discovered a break in to the former Red Cross Building on Charles Street yesterday morning and contacted police.

A window on the east side of the building was smashed and a mannequin inside the building was damaged. At this time it is unknown if anything was missing from the building. Estimated value of the damage is $1500.

 

Stunt Driving Charges

Brockville Police charged a 27 year old local man with stunt driving yesterday morning.

Approximately 8:25 am police observed a large white Dodge pick-up exit the parking lot near Starbucks and turn left westbound onto Parkedale Ave at a high rate of speed. The truck was squealing its tires and drifting through the intersection as it turned onto Parkedale Ave. The vehicle continued fishtailing as it accelerated on Parkedale Ave before being stopped by police at the intersection of Parkedale Avenue at California Ave.

The pick-up truck was towed and impounded for 7 days and the driver charged for stunt driving as a result.

 

Tires Slashed

Brockville Police continue to receive complaints of tires being slashed in the city’s south end. During the day yesterday police received 2 calls of vehicles parked in the Buell and George Street area having their tires slashed sometime overnight.
