Traffic stop/drugs
At 9:00 pm yesterday a 43 year old male was stopped yesterday driving his vehicle for a traffic offence. As a result of that stop officers attempted to make an arrest of the male for being in possession of a controlled substance, but he resisted. Officers were eventually able to secure the subject.
He is now facing charges of possessing a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
Break and Enter
At 4:00 am this morning a resident on Windsor Dr. contacted police to report a break and enter to their residence. The complainant was awoken from their sleep to discover a suspect in the residence. The suspect, when confronted, fled out of the residence. Police caught up the suspect a short distance away. He attempted to evade arrest by providing a false name to the officers. He has been held in custody to answer to the charges.
This incident is still being investigated at the time of this release.
