Motor Vehicle Collision

On the 29th of March, 2018 Police received a call regarding  single motor vehicle accident in the north end of the city. Upon arrival police located a 66 year old female operating the vehicle. Upon conversing with her it was noted that she had signs of impairment and was arrested for Impaired Driving. She was brought to the station where readings twice the legal limit were obtained. She was released with a future court date, and a 7 day vehicle impoundment.

 

 

Brockville Police are also reminding everyone to buckle up this weekend with seat belt campaign this Easter Weekend.

Last year, 49 people died in collisions on Ontario roads which were related to improper seat belt use. If you are caught not wearing your seat belt it will be a fine of $240.

It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure all passengers under the age of 16 are properly secured either by belt or by child car seat.
