Home Invasion Arrest
On March 30th in the morning hours, Brockville Police arrested a man in relation to the home invasion on March 21st.
The 22 year old, Smiths Falls resident, has been charged with assault with a weapon, forcible entry, assault causing bodily harm, criminal harassment, uttering threats, possession of a weapon and failing to comply with a recognizance. He was held in custody and will appear in bail court.
On March 31st at 12:32 am, Brockville Police responded to a south end intersection after a report of a man falling down.
The local, 46 year old, fell as a result of being intoxicated. He was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries then spent the remainder of the evening in a cell at the Police station. He was released with a fine when sober.
On March 30th at 11:28 am, Brockville Police responded to a north end box store for an attempt theft complaint.
An unknown male was confronted trying to leave the store with several thousand dollars worth of video games. He left the merchandise behind and fled the area. The investigation is ongoing into establishing his identity.
