Domestic Arrest
A 43 year old Brockville man is facing charges of Mischief Under $5000 as a result of a domestic incident yesterday afternoon.
Brockville Police attended to a MacOdrum Drive apartment building late yesterday afternoon after a call from the victim saying she had just had an argument with her ex-boyfriend who had been drinking and flipped over a table and smashed a television inside her apartment. He had since left the apartment and was going to his residence in downtown Brockville.
Officers were able to locate the accused a short time later and he was arrested for Mischief under $5000 and released from custody with several conditions and given a future court date.
Theft of Glasses
Two suspects are being sought in connection with a theft of some expensive eyewear from Laurier Optical yesterday.
At approximately 3:30 pm yesterday afternoon a male and a female suspect entered the store and selected some expensive glasses, and tried several pairs on before leaving. Staff then discovered expensive eyewear was now missing and contacted police.
The male is described as tall, slender build, wearing a dark toque, black sweater and jeans. The female suspect is described as being short, blonde hair, wearing a long black jacket, and blue jeans.

Busy 24 hours
From 7am Thursday morning to 7am Friday morning the Brockville Police responded to 39 calls for service.
Calls included:
- 3 calls for service to assist under the Mental Health Act of which 2 persons were referred to a community agency and one apprehension
- 4 calls for Community Services incidents to assist other agencies
- 2 calls of Disturbing the Peace
- 4 Traffic related incidents which included 1 motor vehicle collision
- 2 theft complaints
- 1 Fraud
As well there were 2 arrests during this period resulting in Criminal Code charges.
