Stolen Vehicle
On the 31st of March, 2017 at 8:20 a.m., the Brockville Police Service received a report of a stolen motor vehicle from a north end residence in the City.
The vehicle was recovered shortly after the report by the O.P.P. a couple kilometers ast of Brockville. The vehicle was recovered with no apparent damage. The vehicle was towed to a secure location where the vehicle was processed for suspect identification. There are no suspects at this time, however, the investigation is continuing. This is a good time to remind residents of Brockville to ensure that they make every effort to secure their vehicles and property.
Family Dispute / Assault Cause Bodily Harm
On the 1st of April, 2017 at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Brockville Police Service received a report of a family dispute taking place in the Central area of the City.
Investigation revealed that a 26 year old, local male, had seriously assaulted his mother during a heated argument. Eventually the victim was able to remove herself from the suspect and fled the scene to a neighbours residence to seek assistance. Officers arrived on scene and determined that the serious injuries were suffered from the physical altercation. The female victim was transported to the Brockville General Hospital, where she has been admitted due to the severity of her injuries. The male suspect was arrested and held for a bail hearing for the offences of assault cause bodily harm, forcible confinement and uttering threats to cause death.
