Wanted Male Arrested and Leads to Drug and Weapon Possession
On March 10, 2023 at about 1:30AM, officers from the Brockville Police Service observed a 45-year-old male, in the area of the Circle K on King St. W. He was known to be wanted for previous charges of theft under $5,000.00 and fail to comply with probation. Once he was in custody, the male was searched. Officers located a collapsible baton, dog spray, several knives, various identity documents not belonging to him, $300.00 cash, quantities of crystal meth, methamphetamine tablets, Xanax and cocaine. The drugs had an approximate street value of $3,700.00. The male was additionally charged with four counts of possession of a substance for the purposes of trafficking, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of an identity document and fail to comply with probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
Repeated Loud Music Leads to Mischief Charge
Throughout the past several months the Brockville Police Service has been receiving multiple complaints of loud noise and music, coming from a residence on Pearl St W. The level and time of day of the noise has led to a disruption in the lawful enjoyment of other residents in the area. Officers had tried multiple other remedies during the past incidents, which, were seemingly being ignored. On March 9, 2023 at about 10:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received yet another complaint. Officers attended to find that the music from this particular residence was so loud, it could be heard clearly from the street inside the police vehicle. Officers spoke to the 62-year-old male, who was responsible for the repeated noise. After further investigation, the male was taken into custody. He was charged with mischief – interfering with the lawful enjoyment of property. He was released with conditions and a future court date.
Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Drug Possession
On March 7, 2023 officers from the Brockville Police Service conducted a traffic stop in the area of Central Ave. Two males were identified in the vehicle to be 16 and 19 years of age. The stop was conducted for a minor traffic infraction. During the stop, officers noticed open alcohol in the vehicle. That discovery led to officers locating a knife, four cell phones, cut (substance to mix with drugs), cannabis, scales and a quantity of cocaine. Both males were arrested and each charged with possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking. They were later released on conditions with a future court date.
