Drug Offences
On March 8th at 3:31 pm., Brockville Police stopped a local female walking on a downtown street. Officers had received information she was in possession of drugs.
A search was completed subsequent to her arrest which turned up seven different types of pills, packaged for re-sale and a quantity of marijuana. The items were being carried in a couple totes.
The 29 year old was charged with seven counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking and one count of possession of a controlled substance. The woman was also on conditions in regards to outstanding charges and was charged with breaching one of her conditions. Later the same day, she was released on conditions and given a future court date.
Family Dispute
On March 8th at 5:25 pm., Brockville Police attended a family dispute at a south end residence.
A verbal dispute turned physical between a local 20 year old female and her 62 year old step-father. Police determined the altercation was a mutual shoving match between the two and the parties were separated for the remainder of the evening. Neither party was complaining of an assault .The male suffered some minor scratches.
Drug Offences
On March 9th at 12:06 am., members of the Brockville Police Drug Unit in conjunction with Grenville OPP Officers, executed a search warrant at a local hotel room.
A 24 year old male, from the Toronto area, was arrested and charged after Officers located a quantity of MDMA also known as ecstasy. The man was charged with possession of a controlled substance and released on conditions with a future court date.
