Officers respond to a pair of disturbance calls
Brockville Police officers were called to a pair of disturbances last evening between 7:00 pm and 10:00 p.m. in different areas of the city.
At approximately 7:05 p.m. officers were called to an apartment complex in the city’s north end in response to two adult men fighting in the hallway. On officer’s arrival, one of the male combatants had left the area while the other who remained suffered minor injuries, refused medical treatment and did not wish to pursue a complaint with police.
Police were called just before 10 p.m. to a mid-town residence to investigate another disturbance involving a group of youths. When officers arrived they learned from the complainant he was confronted and grabbed on the bike path earlier in the evening by two other youths and he believed he was threatened with some type of weapon. Officers learned the altercation was the result of the two boys taking exception to the manner the complainant had spoken with some mutual friends and were able to determine there was no weapon involved. The complainant did not suffer any injuries as a result of the altercation.
