Domestic Dispute leads to arrest and charge

On the 23rd of May, 2017 a 34 year old woman and resident of Brockville was arrested and charged with one count of assault with a weapon.  Police attended to the woman’s residence located in the south end of the city where it was learned that she and her common law partner engaged in an argument.  The situation escalated and it is alleged that the woman threw and struck the complainant / victim in the head with an aerosol can causing minor injury.  The woman was released with a future court date.

 

Weapons / Drug charges

On the 23rd of May, 2017 police attended the area of a south end apartment building for reports of someone discharging a BB or Pellet gun at both cars and people.  Police could initially hear the shots and eventually observed one of the responsible subjects leaning out of the window with pistol in hand.  The man was directed to drop the pistol and complied with police direction.  Police proceeded to further investigate the incident and upon entering the apartment observed, in plain view, drug paraphernalia.  As a result of the incident, 3 Brockville men (21, 24 and 28 years of age) were charged with various weapons and drug offences under the criminal code.  All were released with future court dates.
