Theft
On May 27th at 10:11 pm, Brockville Police took a theft complaint in the south end of the city. A lone male approached the victim asking to use her cell phone to make a phone call. She complied and the male took off running with her phone.
He is described as late 20’s, short hair, wearing a dark sweater, beige shorts and a handmade necklace. Police did not locate the male at the time and the investigation is ongoing.
Police Assistance
On May 28th at 6:04 am, Brockville Police attended one of our hotels to try and locate a wanted man.
The Leamington OPP asked for assistance in arresting a 40 year old from their area. They had warrants for him and also felt he was in the company of a 36 year old female, from their area. The man was under court conditions to have no contact with her as a result of domestic related charges.
Officers located the suspect in one of the rooms with the female mentioned. He was arrested for breaching his conditions of release and on the strength of the warrant. He was released with a future court date on the Brockville charges and then the OPP took custody of the man in regards to the warrant. He faces weapons related charges in their area.
Animal Complaint
On May 28th at 4:52 pm, Brockville Police attended a residence in the center of the city for dogs running at large. A woman and her children became scared when approached by a dog roaming the neighbourhood.
Police located the owner of the dog at a nearby residence. It was learned the dog was one of six but three is the maximum for a household. The owner was issued a fine for letting the dogs roam unattended.
Unwanted Person
On May 28th at 5:25 pm, Brockville Police attended the area of the Tall Ships building for an unwanted man.
A 28 year old man was asked to leave the area but kept returning. Police located the subject and arrested him for public intoxication. It was learned he was travelling with the carnival that was in the city on the weekend. When sober, he was released with a fine.
Theft
On May 29th at 10:44 am, Brockville Police attended a northend box store for a theft complaint.
A local 20 year old man removed an item without making any attempt to pay for it. Due to the low dollar value, the man was issued a fine under the Trespass to Property Act.
Domestic Dispute
On May 29th at 6:33 pm, Brockville Police attended a north end residence for a domestic dispute.
A couple in their 70’s had a verbal dispute that ended in the woman threatening the wellbeing of the man as well as her damaging items in the home. She was arrested for uttering threats and mischief.
Later in the day, another family member took carriage of the woman when she was released on conditions with a future court date.
Assault
On May 29th at 6:49 pm, Brockville Police attended Bramshot Park for an assault complaint. A group of children around 10 years of age began playing in the park. A silver/grey car arrived with three teenagers in it. They began to bully the younger kids and one ten year old boy was kicked in the head several times by one of the teens.
The teens are described as one with black cap on backwards, black curly hair, black and white striped shirt, black pants, back pack and about 16-19 years of age. Another teen had a tie dye shirt on and the third teen had on a red shirt, black cap wore forward and a necklace with a bell shaped pendant.
The ten year old was taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Police are seeking the public’s help in locating suspects or vehicle identity.
Animal Complaint
On May 30th at 12:54 am, Brockville Police attended a south end apartment building for a different type of call. A local woman informed Police she awoke in her residence to discover a large snake on the floor.
The snake disappeared into an air vent before Officers arrived. It’s hard to dispute her claim after looking at the picture she took with her phone!!
