Suspicious Persons at Tall Ships Landing
Alert security staff at the Tall Ships Landing contacted Brockville Police last evening reporting two young men described as in their 20’s walking around the building and attempting to get into the building’s parking garage.
Police were contacted just before 9pm when security at the building observed the two men walking around the building and provided Brockville 9-1-1 Communicators with a description of the males and a direction of travel and relayed this information to the responding officers. When officers arrived they were able to locate the two men and speak with them.
One of the individuals, a 32 year old Quebec man who was in Brockville working for a contractor at a local construction site was found to be breaching his bail conditions as he had been drinking when officers located him. He was arrested for Breaching his Undertaking and released on bail with a cash deposit and given a future court date.
Youth charged with Breach
A walk on the roof tops of some King Street businesses resulted in a 16 year old youth getting a breach of probation charge.
At approximately 9:30 pm last evening residents along King St West reported seeing a male and female youths running on the roof tops in the area of the CIBC and provided a description. Responding officers were able to locate the female youth in the area and she is known to the officers. Further investigation revealed she was currently on probation and she was out past her curfew.
As a result, the young woman was arrested and charged for two counts of breaching her probation and will appear in youth court later today.
