Family Dispute

On May 31st at 6:51 pm, Brockville Police attended a family dispute at a south end residence.

Police spoke with a woman who had a confrontation with her 15 year old daughter. The daughter had left the residence before Officer’s arrival. We would still like to speak with her but as of the time of this release she has yet to be located.

 

Accident

On May 31st at 7:44 pm, Brockville Police attended a vehicle versus pedestrian accident at a north end intersection.

A local 51 year old man struck a 20 year old female, while he was attempting a left hand turn and she was crossing the intersection in the crosswalk. The young woman suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to hospital. She is continuing with medical follow ups and Police have no other information on her condition.

The driver was charged under the highway traffic act for failing to yield to a pedestrian.

 

Unwanted Person

On May 31st at 9:55 pm, Brockville Police attended a south end residence for an unwanted person.

A local 48 year old man became involved in a dispute with the son of his common law spouse. Officers noted the man was intoxicated and feared problems would escalate if he was allowed to remain at the house. He was arrested to prevent a further breach of the peace. This morning, when sober, he was released without charges.
